The Death of a Servant Girl

Welcome to The Death of a Servant Girl. Over the coming weeks and months I am going to be posting my novel here bit by bit, as I write it. The unspoken question on everyone's lips seems to be if it's any good why don't you have it published? Well, one could spend half a life drafting and re-drafting a novel only to be told that the market isn't right or the genre's dead; many manuscripts are seen only by the writer's long suffering friends and the cursory eye of a literary agent. By using this medium my writing can be seen and judged by all and sundry leaving editors, agents and marketing gurus to be damned. Readers will be free to offer support, advice, corrections and ideas or to sit back and read without comment if they prefer.
For my part I will have the gratification of seeing my work read, and may make a small financial gain if people view the hopefully un-intrusive adverts that I shall display alongside my work.
This is not the first "blog novel" and I should be surprised if it is the last. Let's hope it's the most successful.
